In 2025, you can expect to experience some major energetic shifts as all the slow moving planets change signs this year. Most of these changes happen in spring of 2025, with Saturn, Jupiter and the Lunar Nodes, Rahu & Ketu, all changing signs.

 First up Saturn, the slowest moving of the Navagraha, or nine traditional planets of Vedic astrology, is on the move this year. Saturn has spent the last five years in its domicile sign—Capricorn and Aquarius, where it’s been super strong. In spring of 2025 Saturn will complete its 2 1/2 year transit in Aquarius and enter the sign of Pisces on 30th of March. Saturn will bring its qualities of self-discipline and self- reliance to the mystical sign of Pisces where it supports serious development of your spiritual life. If you have Pisces moon, you’ll be entering your 2 1/2 year peak Sadhesate, a powerful initiation into Saturn's wisdom that happens only 2-3 times in your life. If your natal Saturn is in Pisces this will mark your Saturn Return—a powerful maturing process that happens only once in 30 years. Saturn transits can also feel extremely pressurized depending on your individual chart, so you may wish to book a reading to help understand and make the best use of Saturn’s energy.

 2025 also sees the lunar nodes, Rahu & Ketu on the move which happens every 18 months. In Spring of 2025, Rahu & Ketu leave the Virgo/Pisces axis and enter into the Leo/Aquarius axis. Virgo and Pisces may experience relief from the pressure of the karmic axis over your Lagna, Moon, or Sun; while Leo and Aquarius will enter an 18 month karmic activation as the lunar nodes transit your signs.

 Also coming in spring 2025, Jupiter moves from earthy, stable Taurus into Gemini where it will support expansion of Gemini karakas such as communication, learning, and technology. Gemini Lagna can experience subtle energetic support with benefic Jupiter over your first house.

 One key one unique feature to note in 2025 is that Mercury will retrograde three times this year and every retrograde happens in a water sign! Mercury retrogrades usually impact Gemini and Virgo the strongest. However, this year, the water signs, Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces may also experience intensity from the Mercury retrogrades.

 The three Mercury retrogrades in water signs give us all a subtle opportunity to reassess our emotions and emotional boundaries. Retrograde periods are often karmic do-overs and you may find that 2025’s retrogrades in water signs support surfacing and purifying repeating emotional patterns in your life.

 If your focus is on the creativity or relationships, you’ll get some support from Venus’ exaltation in Pisces from January 28 to 31 May. Venus retrogrades from March 1 until April 12 and you may experience a renewal of existing relationships, or even reconnecting with, or revitalizing old relationships.
